For the first time in a career of almost 30 years top local band Winter Moods have recorded a song in Maltese. Their version of Xemx, originally recorded by The Tramps is included in their latest CD for Puttinu Cares.

Winter Moods have been performing Xemx regularly in their concerts in recent years. The band’s re-recording also features Richard and Mark Grech, sons of the late original author, Dominic Grech. Dominic’s very own guitar was used in the recording.

‘Xemx is a song that never dies. We are very happy to record our version and give a new life to such a timeless classic,’ said Ivan Grech, frontman of Winter Moods.

Xemx can now be heard on local radio stations and is included in Winter Moods’ CD for Puttinu Cares which is available for a donation of €5 from all record shops and Hard Rock Café outlets.
