Ivan Grech returns with his second solo concert on July 18th at the beautiful Ta’ Liesse in Valletta. All proceeds from ticket sales of this concert will be donated to ALS Malta. Tickets are available for sale from www.showshappening.com at €15 for Silver Standing and €25 for Golden Circle Standing.
Following on the success of his first solo venture last year, Ivan’s concert is set to become an annual event. Performing some of Winter Moods’ greatest hits, as well as his favourite tunes from his idols, the concert will have the audience singing and dancing from the very first note.
“Feedback for last year’s concert was over-whelming. I was delighted that the music that I consider to be the soundtrack of my early years, is also appreciated passionately by the audience. This year will be a follow up to that, with more classic tracks, and some forgotten favourites from years gone by,” said Ivan.
Ivan announced that the inimitable Pascal Kravetz, renown for touring the world with top international musicians will be joining him again for this concert. Ivan will be accompanied by Jeremy Micallef and David Cassar Torregiani on guitars, David Ciantar on keyboards, Robert Galea on bass and Raphael Tonna on drums. The backing vocalists will be Angela Spiteri, Jackie Pace Delicata and Louisa Frendo Wirth.
“This year I wanted to take it a step further. I firmly believe there is no greater joy than giving, and once again I am amalgamating my concert with a charity element. Last year Byorn Formosa invited me to perform at an event for ALS Malta and sadly I could not make it. Hence this year, every cent from ticket sales will be going entirely to ALS Malta.”
Bjorn Formosa, Chairman of ALS Malta said, “It is a unique opportunity to appreciate Ivan’s great talent performing for such a noble cause. This live concert will be a beacon of light for those suffering from ALS giving us the possibility to continue raising funds for the finalisation of the ALS Home, a project which will improve patient’s quality of life from one day to the other.”
“I would like to thank the sponsors who rallied to our support, to cover the expenses for such an event. It is through their support that we can donate the full ticket proceeds to ALS,” concluded Ivan.
The concert is presented by Hard Rock Café, sponsored by Coca Cola, BOV, MTA and Palumbo, and supported by Renault, Arkadia, BMIT, Marsaxlokk Water Polo Club, Mapfre Middlesea, Scratchers, JSDimech Ltd, Come On!, Portomaso Gaming, Sigma, OVO Casino, Jackpot.com, Quasar Gaming, Bit8, Gaming Malta and the Malta Gaming Authority.
