Winter Moods will be guest-performing during Boyzone frontman Ronan Keating’s live concert at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali on Saturday.
The band has just finished recording and mixing its latest CD album at Temple Studios in Mistra and in the coming days will be flying to London to master the album, which is due to be released in the coming weeks. During the Saturday concert the band will premier the new single from this latest album. The band will also be performing the first track on the same album, Last To Know, which is already topping the Maltese charts.
“Winter Moods are Malta’s top selling artist. Over the years the band has consistently topped the charts and won a string of awards and we are happy to work with them especially after our successful collaboration on the band’s concert in 2008, which was attended by the largest paying crowd for a Maltese band and Ivan’s contribution to Joseph Calleja’s concert which was so well received last year,” said Nigel Camilleri for NnG Promotions, the concert organisers.
Originating from Senglea, Winter Moods have their roots and influences in rock music. Over the years their music evolved into some of the most loved melodies on the island and their discography includes classic hits such as Marigold, Everyday Song, Come To You, Sarah and others. The band etched its name in Maltese music history during a memorable performance in front of more than 7500 people at the Valletta Waterfront in 2008.
“Working on new material is always exciting and this album is even more special as we have been locked up in the studio for months at a stretch and the album has taken a life and identity of its own. We are happy to be premiering the album to our Maltese fans during a concert with Ronan Keating, whose musical talent is recognised across the world,” said the band’s frontman Ivan Grech.
The Easter Saturday concert, which will see Keating performing a selection of his most popular solo songs as well as some Boyzone hits, will kick off the year’s musical calendar and is expected to thrill thousands of Maltese fans.
The concert is being sponsored by HSBC, Vodafone, Excelsior, Coca Cola and The Plaza Shopping Complex. Over the recent years, NnG Promotions have established themselves as the leading promoters of large scale concerts involving top international artists including Joseph Calleja, Roger Waters, Brian Adams, Sting, Elton John, Eros Ramazzotti, Duran Duran, Michael Bolton, Tom Jones, Abba – The Show and Laura Pausini.
